MICHAEL BROWN
Michael
Brown has been speaking, mentoring and leading in campus ministry for
the past 18 years – the first four years at the University of
Kansas and the past 14 years at Bowling Green State
University. He is presently the Faculty Advisor of
[Cru].
Michael’s passions include teaching, writing, mentoring,
rigorous exercise, presidential politics, grillin’ out,
peanut butter and power naps.
As a Lambda Chi Alpha alumna, Michael spends much of his time speaking
in fraternities, as well as mentoring, counseling and challenging young
men across campus. He also travels regionally and nationally,
sharing his insights on leadership, relationships, innovative campus
ministry and spirituality with university students, faculty and
staff.
Having just finished his first book entitled “Twenty-One
Father-Son Conversations About Love, Dating, Marriage and
Sexuality,” Michael also is in the process of publishing several
articles on leadership, spirituality and ministry philosophy.
Presently a PhD student and research assistant at BGSU in Higher
Education Administration, Michael is engaged in cutting-edge research
on the connection between spirituality and service learning, as well as
the spiritual development of university students.
Michael and his wife, Teresa, just celebrated their 18th wedding
anniversary and reside in Bowling Green with their four children:
Lauren, Justin, Logan and Ethan. They were selected as the
2008 Bowling Green Family of the Year, and they all attend Brookside
Church in Bowling Green.
AMY SEIFFERT
Amy
Seiffert is a wife, mom and minister to college students on campus at
BGSU. She has been married to her husband, Rob for 7 years and has one
adorable son, Robby. She has been writing, speaking and
mentoring Greek women in the campus community for 8 years and enjoys
the multiple balls she continues to juggle as her life changes each
season.
As an Alpha Phi alumni, Amy loves to build relationships with sorority
women who are at a crossroads in their lives as they walk through
college. She enjoys leading spiritual discussions and giving them an
opportunity to explore God from a Biblical perspective.
Amy loves learning and is slowly continuing her education at Regent
Theological Seminary. She enjoys artful time painting, working with
fabrics and creating. Having grown up in the Toledo, Ohio area she also
enjoyed playing Barbie Dolls with Katie Holmes in elementary school and
would like you all to know that.
