Responses to Girls Night Out Events from Student Attendees

Your book changed my life, and I'm sure it will continue to change the lives of those who read it!

Meghan, USC

Your message was truly inspirational and I enjoyed listening to your story. I have not laughed in a long time as I did last Wednesday and I'm very grateful to hear someone say how much we as women deserve to be respected and treated. I really enjoyed your metaphors for life...especially the tea cup vs Starbucks trash example. Thank you.   I hope all is well and your message continues to be heard. Thanks.

Rachael, USC

Your an amazing speaker, I enjoyed listening to you a lot!!!!! It's been a long time since a speaker has gotten my attention like you did, I'm so glad I got a chance to hear you speak!!!!

Robin, USC

I just want you to know that it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear last night. I don't really have much else to say but just that what God said through you last night was wonderful and eye opening. I've begun the process of surrender and truly hit a point of brokenness last night. Thanks for coming to speak and I look forward to reading your book!

Ashley, Texas AM, College Station

I recently saw you speak at Breakaway at A&M and you were incredible. Your story mirrors my life....I bought the book afterwards and am almost finished. It has really helped me through the hard time im going through and i really appreciate it. I hope i can be as strong as you in the future. Thanks!

Response to Girls Night Out Events from Staff Attendees

Marian partnered with our ministry for a Girls' Night Out in February 2008.   We used our weekly meeting forum and had the men meet separately.   Normally, we run 150-175 at our weekly meeting, which includes both men and women. We had over 300 women at Marian's outreach.   Many of our students brought their lost friends whom they had been praying for.   We had several of the secular women's clubs on campus join us as well.

Marian's presentation was honest and vulnerable.   She spoke to our women with passion on a level that both Christians and the lost could relate to.   Challenging the myths and lies that society is portraying, Marian shared her story of college party girl who later came to Christ at age 24. She also tapped into the pain that is ignored by the media but is a common experience among our girls.   I really appreciated her clear presentation of the gospel and how it meets the deepest needs of her heart.

Her challenge to come to Christ was simple and compelling. One thing busy campus staff will appreciate is the plug and play capability of Marian's presentation. She provides all her own publicity. It was very sharp graphically and clearly geared to today's college woman. Another benefit is her well thought through follow up plan. After her gospel presentation, she passed out follow up cards and presented a clear plan of next steps. The day after speaking, she trained a number of our student leaders in how to use Sex and the City Uncovered in a book club/ Bible study format for a 7 week follow up.   It has been very well received. We plan on launching 3 new small groups from this with very little effort on our part. The studies offer healing and freedom in Jesus to our women and a safe place to talk about the secret places of the heart.

In short, Marian is a great fit for Crusade and a needed voice of hope in a confusing, degrading culture for women. I hope you will platform her and her message.
